Iva is an attorney with over twenty-five years of experience in corporate and transactional law, M&A, and intellectual property. Her background includes a senior legal role with a private equity fund and extensive experience representing both Czech and international investors in acquisitions, divestments, and privatizations.
Alongside her corporate practice, Iva focuses on the intersection of law and art. She advises artists on protecting their rights and managing the contractual and licensing aspects of their creative work, while also assisting commercial clients, institutions, and collectors operating in the visual arts and technology sectors.
Since 2016, she has been teaching art law at leading Czech art academies — including UMPRUM, FaVU, and occasionally AVU — where she combines academic insight with practical experience and benefits from direct interaction with the next generation of artists.
Iva graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague and holds a postgraduate degree in French and European law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She is fluent in Czech, English, and French, and is active in the non-profit organization Fair Art, which provides legal support to artists.
Clients value her negotiation skills, personal dedication, and empathetic approach.
