Jakub Císař, co-founder of the law firm NOVALIA, is one of the leading Czech attorneys in the fields of technology, startups, and venture investments.
After several years at top international law firms, he founded his own practice together with his partners — a firm that quickly became a key player in supporting innovative business in the Czech Republic and beyond. Jakub regularly advises startups and investors on some of the largest transactions on the market, including the exits of Stories and Integromat (now Make.com), as well as investments into Snuggs, Daytrip, and Superface.
His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments, and comprehensive contractual and regulatory support for technology companies. He is a sought-after expert in IT law, data protection, and intellectual property.
Jakub is an active member of the Czech Startup Association and frequently speaks at startup and tech industry events.
What he enjoys most about transactional work is the opportunity to partner with founders throughout the entire lifecycle of their company — from inception to a successful exit.
He studied law at Charles University in Prague and the University of Salzburg.
